WhatsApp Could Add Multi-Platform Support with Same Account

WhatsApp has become an important part of every individual’s lives. This multi-media messaging platform has over a Billion daily active users who are using this platform to share text messages, videos, photos, documents, contacts, locations and what not!

WhatsApp has received yet another rumored feature today. According to the latest rumor, WhatsApp is soon releasing its beta edition for iOS and Android platforms that will let users use WhatsApp on multiple devices with the same account.

According to WABetaInfo, the multi-media messaging platform is working on a new edition that will let users use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices simultaneously. You can use WhatsApp on your Smartphone and PC with the same account. But this new edition of WhatsApp will be totally different. You could use the same WhatsApp account on multiple smartphones with one cellphone number.

This new multi-platform system will be launched for Android and iOS mobile platforms as well as for PC systems. PC users will get a standalone WhatsApp application which could be used just like a smartphone on a PC system. It will be completely different from WhatsApp’s web-based interface.

The PC edition will not be available on macOS as of now. The reports have confirmed that initially, the PC edition of this system will be launched for Windows platform only. Soon after its launch, the macOS edition of the app will also be launched.

The new multi-platform system of WhatsApp is currently in its development phase and there is no any confirmation about its availability yet. We do not know whether it could be launched. For now, we have to take this rumored-news with a pinch of salt. More details from the officials will be released soon.

WhatsApp for iPad is yet to be released by Apple. In the coming days, we could expect from Apple to release the iPad edition of WhatsApp as well. We might get to see this new multi-platform system for iPad as well. Stay tuned for more information on this.
