Welcome to this week’s edition of Whatcha Been Playing! I hope summer is treating you well, even if the heat is a bit oppressive. Summer Game Fest has been in full swing, but I must admit it’s been a bit overwhelming, especially as it’s the start of three months of showcases instead of just three days. I’m hoping to maintain my focus on mastering everything there is to know about the video game world, but we’ll see how it goes.
If you’re interested in the Xbox Games Showcase, the Destructoid team will be covering it, so be sure to check it out. While I’ve been covering all the streams, I’ve also been squeezing in some time to play the fantastic Street Fighter 6 by Capcom. Though time-consuming, the thrill of winning makes it all worthwhile. I’ve also been playing Neowiz Games’ Lies of P, a uniquely dark take on the Pinocchio mythos that’s set in the Belle-Epoque inspired city of Krat.
