What are you playing this weekend?

The weekend has arrived, bringing with it a delightful opportunity to indulge in some leisurely gaming. Unless, of course, you happen to be working, in which case we offer our sincere apologies.

For us, these next two days serve as an escape into a realm of boundless imagination and awe-inspiring wonders.

Here’s what our team has planned for the weekend.

James Billcliffe, Guides Editor – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Living in an area with abysmal internet speeds, I recently acquired a 5G router in an effort to rectify the situation. Though this has granted me access to incredibly fast speeds, I now face a different challenge – the poor wall penetration capabilities of 5G.

Consequently, I have relocated my main work PC to a more accessible location, allowing me to engage in some off-the-clock gaming. One title that has been sitting in my backlog for a few months is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a highly-anticipated sequel that I regrettably never had the chance to experience upon its initial release.

The concept of a Dark Souls-esque game with lightsabers that emit that iconic “vroooohm” sound is undeniably enticing. Plus, who can resist the charm of a stylish quilted vest and poncho combo? Perhaps I’ll complete the ensemble by indulging in a binge-watch of Andor at the same time?

Connor Makar, Staff Writer – Project L, etc.

This week, I will be devoting my time to updating our Project L hub page, as we have made significant progress on it recently. As for actual gaming, I can’t recommend Baldur’s Gate 3 enough – it is truly a remarkable experience that deserves attention. I will definitely be immersing myself in that world even further.

In addition, the release of Dark and Darker into Early Access, after overcoming some legal obstacles, presents an exciting opportunity for exploration. Trust me, it is well worth playing. Oh, and one more thing – I am participating in a small Street Fighter 6 tournament. In short, it will be a packed weekend, with the likelihood of me getting lost in the world of World of Warcraft.

Stephany Nunneley-Jackson, News Editor – The Sims 4

During this weekend, I intend to step into the shoes of a Sim utterly obsessed with horses, as reality and fantasy often intertwine. The release of The Horse Ranch Expansion Pack last month had me eager to embark on this equine adventure, but I encountered installation issues that prevented me from doing so. Thankfully, I believe a fix has been implemented, enabling me to finally dive into it.

Aside from that, I have no other plans apart from taking a well-deserved rest and perusing my collection of gaming cookbooks to determine which culinary endeavors I should embark on (and likely fail at) during my next kitchen escapade.

That concludes our plans for this week. And what about you? What games do you have lined up for the weekend?
