WatchOS 10 offers countless reasons to adore it.

The Apple Watch received numerous updates with the introduction of watchOS 10 at WWDC 2023. These updates include easier ways to access information on the main screen, redesigned apps, and hiking and biking tools. Although watchOS 10 might not seem as significant as some rumors suggested, it still provides a lot of features that decrease the amount of time users have to spend interacting with the device, making it more efficient. One of the most subtle updates to watchOS is its new visual language, which simplifies navigation. Many apps now take advantage of the larger displays on recent Apple Watches, providing more buttons and information that are easy to identify at a glance. The music app, for instance, now shows album artwork.

Additionally, watchOS 10 offers a new Smart Stack of widgets, accessed easily through a scroll of the digital crown, providing information that is relevant to your day. Other updates include an easier-to-use home screen that groups apps together tightly and stacks them vertically, making it simpler to search for less frequently used apps. Furthermore, outdoor enthusiasts will be happy to know that Apple improved the Apple Watch’s ability to interface with bike computers and track cycling workouts while the Compass app has been updated with more backtracking functionality, elevation data tracking, and improved hiking trail maps.

The health features of watchOS 10 include logging one’s moods and emotions throughout the day and improved literature on anxiety and depression. It also tracks nearsightedness and the amount of time spent outside. A developer beta for watchOS 10 is already available, and the full public release is expected in fall. It is worth noting that watchOS 10 is only compatible with the Apple Watch Series 4 and newer.
