Vivo X21i with MediaTek Helio P60 SoC Launched in China


Earlier this year, Vivo had launched the Vivo X21 and X21 UD smartphones powered by Snapdragon 660 processor in China. Now, the Vivo X21i has been launched in China as a cheaper sibling to the Vivo X21. The biggest difference between the Vivo X21 and Vivo X21i is the use of the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC on the latter, compared to the Snapdragon 660 SoC on the former. The smartphone comes with the price tag of  2,698 Yuan ($425/ Rs 28,700 approx.) and currently available for pre-orders on, Tmall, and Suning and goes on sale from May 19th. It comes in Black, Aurora White, and Ruby Red color options.

Talking about specifications, the Vivo X21i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with FunTouch OS 4.0 UI on top. It sports a 6.28” Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 Super AMOLED display with 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It offers 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Vivo X21i comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, Samsung 2L9 sensor with Dual Pixel technology and a 5Mp secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It has AI scene recognition that can automatically detect 17 scenes. On the front, it has a 24MP camera with f/2.0 aperture; it comes with artificial intelligence and Vivo’s own Rubiks Cube technology.

The Vivo X21i is fueled by a 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band Wi-Fi (2X2MIMO), Bluetooth v5, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro USB port. The phone also supports face unlock feature and AK4376A Hi-Fi chip for an enhanced audio experience. It measures 154.45 × 74.98 × 6.99 mm and weight: 159 grams.
