Vivo, the popular Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer has recently released a new OS update to its existing Funtouch OS with Funtouch OS 10. The company were planning to introduce a new operating system exclusively for their own smartphones named JoviOS. But instead, they have come up with the new Funtouch OS 10.

According to the company’s Project Manager, they are currently working on a major update that will bring the new Earthquake Warning feature. This will be an entirely new weather-related feature and will be the part of the custom operating system.

The new Earthquake Warning feature is currently in the final development and it will be released for testing purpose in the coming days. Since the announcement is made by the official Project Manager, we hope to see this new Earthquake Warning feature on the public platform very soon. Hopefully, we will get this update in the first month of the coming year i.e. in the January month of 2020.

Apparently, there is no specific release date for the test version and for the public version revealed by the Project Manager as of now. But we can still hope to see it at the earliest as it is currently the much-needed feature.

Apart from this, he has also talked about the current edition of the Funtouch 10 OS by saying that the current version has a special positioning areas feature. This feature is providing forecast every minute for the next two hours. The same feature shows time and weather of two different places on same device.

The same Earthquake warning related feature was introduced by Xiaomi with their new MIUI 11 update. This feature was exlcusively released for the Xiaomi users with their smartphones running on MIUI 11 or above version. The same warning notification was made available for the Xiaomi TV users. The warning message feature warns users seconds to tens of seconds before the actual Earthquake.

The idea to offer this new Earthquake Warning feature is to make everyone safe. With a few seconds, people can make themselves protected by coming out from the house or office.
