Vivo Nex 5G Prototype with Snapdragon 855 Showcased in China


During a Xinhua News Agency media conference, Chinese Manufacturer Vivo has showcased its upcoming 5th Generation Vivo Nex Smartphone which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. In this early 2018, Vivo had launched their Nex edition 4G Smartphone which has a Pop-up camera which draws good attention in the market.

But now at the end of this year, this Chinese Company is again ready to rule the market by introducing a Dual-Screen Smartphone which have X50 LTE model for 5G connectivity. The Snapdragon 855 SoC will add a blazing speed in this upgraded version of Nex. The prototype of this Vivo Nex was showcased on Qualcomm Booth at Xinhua News Agency media conference.

Recently at the China Mobile Global Partner Conference 2018, different Smartphone Manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Huawei had showcased their upcoming 5G enabled Smartphones. At that time also, Vivo had shown Vivo Nex 5G. But now again they had showcased their Vivo Nex 5G in another big event.

This version of Nex is the modified version of Vivo Nex which was launched back in this year. And that’s the reason why to make it 5G compatible, Vivo’s R&D engineers had to tweak its architecture planning, motherboard stacking, RG and antenna design, and carry out battery optimizations.

The company has also announced during these events that the software and hardware development for the commercial launch has been completed and will launch pre-commercial Smartphone terminal in 2019.

Since there is no such official announcement about the Hardware Configuration, but looking at the Snapdragon 885 chipset which has the capability of holding up to 10GB of RAM. Vivo Nex 5G is expected to have 10GB of RAM.
