A report on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo suggests that Vivo is planning to release a new Custom UI for Vivo smartphones called the JoviOS. If you have been a Vivo user, you might know that Jovi is a collection of some advanced features on Vivo smartphones. And now, the company is planning to release a new custom OS on the same name.
There is also finite chances that the existing FuntouchOS can be renamed as JoviOS. So, there is nothing clear whether the company will release a new OS or rename the existing one.
The Weibo report also claims that Vivo’s upcoming smartphone, Vivo X30 series will be coming with the new JoviOS. The adaption plan is scheduled to be explained at the upcoming Vivo’s conference.
As of now, there isn’t any confirmation that this news will come out to be a true one. So, it is advised to take this news as a grain of salt. But if this change will reflect in the upcoming smartphones from Vivo, it will be interesting to see what changes Vivo has done in the new custom OS.
