Vertu Aster P Luxury Smartphone Launched in China: Price, Specifications and More


Luxury smartphone manufacturer Vertu has made its comeback with the launch of its latest Vertu Aster P smartphone in China, last night. The company went bankrupt over a year ago and has new owners now. The Super Luxury Vertu Aster P comes with  grade-5 titanium frame with the back made out of crocodile and lizard leather and the display covered by a single piece of 133-carat sapphire crystal glass. It has a ruby red button on the right acts as the “concierge” button that gives you 24/7 access to your own personal butler with British-level professionalism. It has two small gull-wing doors on the back to insert the SIM card. Under the “door” is the signature of the craftsman that made the particular unit. Vertu will also let you customize the design of the Aster P by adding gems and choosing the style you like.

Vertu Aster P Price and Availability

The Vertu Aster P comes with the price tag of ¥35,800 (~$5,167) for the Ink Black and White variants and ¥98,000 (~$14,146) for the Dazzling Gold colour option. The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders in China and will go on sale from October 30. There is no information on the availability of smartphone outside China.

Vertu Aster P Specifications.

The Vertu Aster P runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 4.9” FHD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno GPU. It offers 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Vertu Aster P comes 12MP rear camera with LED flash support. On the front, it has a 20MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The Vertu Aster P is fuelled by a 3,200mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Dual LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and USB-C port. The phone measures 149.8 x 71 x 10.1 mm and weighs 220 grams.
