The bill, named the HIRE Act (High-Skilled Immigration Reform for Employment), also aims to address the shortage of skilled workers in the US by funding STEM education in schools.
Krishnamoorthi believes that expanding the H-1B visa program will help American companies fill positions that are in high demand. In a press announcement, he stated that developing the domestic workforce and attracting top talent from around the world is crucial for creating jobs and building the future economy.
