Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

While gamers are looking for new games to play amid the coronavirus pandemic, Ubisoft has announced the next Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The company has revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla via YouTube in the form of a multi-hour Livestream with artist Kode Abdo, better known as BossLogic, revealing the game’s setting. The company mentioned that the full reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is coming Thursday, April 30, at 8 a.m. PT via YouTube.

During the course of about eight hours, BossLogic’s artwork revealed Viking warriors battling in a sun-drenched field on one side, and boats navigating icy waters on the other. A silhouette of a Viking warrior bisects the two scenes. Beyond that, little is known about the new Assassin’s Creed. The game is slated to come out sometime in 2020 on unspecified platforms.

Ubisoft’s teaser confirmed long-standing rumors, and an in-game tease hidden in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which telegraphed the Viking theme for the new Assassin’s Creed game.
