Twitter, the world’s most popular microblogging platform is available for almost all the platforms through its standalone app. Here’s a good news for all the Mac users who have been waiting for the standalone Twitter app for their Mac systems.

Twitter has released its Mac version for the users of macOS Catalina. If you have upgraded your Mac system to the latest update i.e. macOS Catalina, then you are allowed to install this app right from the App Store.

Twitter for Mac is available for the users whose Mac system is running on the latest edition of macOS Catalina. This application is designed with the latest Catalyst Framework which is only compatible with the newly upgraded Mac systems.

The new framework opens up new doors of opportunities for the app developers of iPads and other iOS devices. It lets them create macOS compatible apps with less work.

In the June month at WWDC, Twitter announced that they are currently working with the Catalyst framework to bring the Twitter app for macOS users. Starting from today, the app can be found in macOS’ App Store.

This is not the same app that you are using on an iPad. The user interface for Twitter for macOS is quite different and you would not be much familiar with it. However, the overall user interface of this app is quite simple and runs smoothly.

The screen looks quite odd when you use it with full-screen. However, you can get many of your things done without having to open the web browser and then log in to Twitter’s web version. You can simply launch the app and can start using it the way you want.

Last year, Twitter discontinued its Twitter for Mac app which was not a good decision. However, this year, they brought up a redesigned version of Twitter which is only compatible with the latest macOS i.e. macOS Catalina.

You can download Twitter for Mac from the official App Store. Follow the link and you will be redirected to the official app store page.
