Twitter has recently rolled out a new app update for Android platform. The new update of the app carries a bug that crashes down the app whenever a person tries to launch it on his Android device. Yes, the same issue encountered by the users in the global platform which is due to the new update of the app.

They have also said that they are currently investigating this matter and will soon come up with a solution to it. They have also requested the existing users to kindly avoid updating the existing Android app on their Android device until they fix the issue.
Twitter has also shared a tweet and apologises for this issue with the new app update.
To recall the version, the issue was found in the latest version of the app i.e. version 8.28. The same app version is causing the app to crash down immediately after the user tries to launch it. If you have updated the app already and do not able to use it or launch it on your Android device, should go to the App’s official page and clear the data stored by the device. Once you delete the data or clear the cache memory of the app, you shall be able to start using the app again.

We’re investigating a problem with the latest version of our Android app that causes it to crash immediately once it’s opened. If you use Twitter for Android, we suggest not updating it until we let you know it's fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience!

If you have enabled the auto-update option on your Android device, should go to the App Store’s official app and click the menu button. From the Settings menu, disable the auto-update feature to turn off the device updating apps automatically.
