Truecaller has been launched as a callerID service to the consumers with a mobile app that syncs contacts across the phones to determine who’s calling. However, as soon as this app grows, the company started adding new features in services for the users to get most out of it. Last year, true caller adds UPI Payments service called Truecaller Pay across India for cashless payments. And now, the company is reportedly testing a new service called Truecaller voice.
According to a report by TelecomTalk, Truecaller Voice will be the VoIP calling service similar to what we have seen on other messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Google Duo. This report suggests that this new feature is currently in testing session and is currently made available to some of the selected Truecaller Premium subscribers.
The report cites that they have spotted these new features on the devices like the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 7 Pro, which are running on Premium Truecaller accounts. The VoIP service is voice over internet-based calling service which is certainly free but uses your mobile data for placing calls.
As mentioned above, this feature is currently available in testing to selected Premium subscribers, other people can expect to have this feature rolling in the coming months. We reached out to TrueCaller regarding a confirmation, but so far, the company is yet to officially confirm the rollout of VoIP feature for all Truecaller Premium users. As soon as this feature rolls out for everyone, we will update you instantly. So, stay updated with us!
