Tinder’s New Update Will Hide Profiles of LGTBQ+ people in Selected Countries

Tinder is undoubtedly the most successful social network cum dating app. The app is widely used by Travellers to find a like-minded partner with whom they can hang around. Today, Tinder has rolled out a new Safety update for the travellers who are using this platform in different countries.

The update is for the members of the LGBTQ community. This safety feature aimed to protect such users from the risk of using this dating app in the countries where the LGBTQ status is a punishable act. There are over 70 different countries in the world available with this status. When you travel to these countries, the app will hide LGTBQ+ people’s profiles automatically.

This new feature is called “Traveler Alert” for the Tinder app. This will be an in-app feature which will pop up as soon as you open this app in the countries. This update will work automatically for the users and it will itself hides the profiles of such users from the platform. As a result, you won’t be able to explore the profiles of such people on the Tinder app even if they are available.

This feature will be controlled by the users only. They can decide whether to remain hidden or unhidden while visiting these countries. There is a separate option available on the app with a new update that will let you enable or disable this feature.

Interestingly, the new Safety Feature is rolling out for both, Android and iOS mobile platform in the global market.

Over the last few years, Tinder has launched numerous updates to help the LGTBQ Community who can also make use of this platform to find a like-minded and matchable person from around.

This is becoming a major issue in the world and this community is getting alerted by every other dating app. Many other dating apps have sent a warning regarding this community and the countries where meeting and hooking up with these people is still a criminal act.

This is just another safety feature for the Tinder users which will be available with an update of the app.
