The Pro Bowl Will Be Held Virtually Through Madden 21 This Year Due To COVID

Due to COVID-19, the NFL canceled the upcoming Pro Bowl scheduled for January 2021. The event will go forward in a new fashion, however, as EA and the NFL have announced that the 2021 Pro Bowl will take place virtually through Madden NFL 21.

The event will consist of a week’s worth of matchups with celebrities, former and current NFL players, and streamers who will play Madden NFL 21 with the Pro Bowl rosters. People can watch these matchups “across a variety of platforms,” EA said.

Madden NFL 21 players are getting bonuses, too, as EA will release Pro Bowl-themed content in the game during the event.

Fans can vote on the Pro Bowl participants by visiting this website–NFL.com/ProBowlVote–now through December 17. Users can also vote through Madden NFL 21 on console and mobile, or they can submit votes through Twitter.

The actual Pro Bowl roster will be determined by votes from fans, as well as real-world NFL players and coaches; each voting group counts for a third toward the final selections.
