The iPhone 12 Pro Will Reportedly Feature ProMotion High-Refresh-Rate Screen, Improved Face ID, 3x Rear Camera Zoom

A new leak related to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 Pro hints that the phone will feature more upgrades than we have expected. According to the latest report by Max Weinbach which is featured in EverythingApplePro’s video, the iPhone 12 is said to feature a high refresh-rate 120Hz ProMotion display. It is expected that either one of the iPhone 12 Pro models with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch will feature the 120Hz ProMotion display.

The report suggests that the phone will automatically switch between 60Hz to 120Hz modes to conserve battery whenever possible. This system is similar to the ProMotion system which is available in iPad Pro.

To support the 120Hz mode, Apple is also expanding the battery capacity on the phone to offer good battery life on its upcoming flagship. The latest report suggests that the new biggest iPhone, the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, will feature a battery capacity in excess of 4400mAH.

EverythingApplePro also mentioned in its report that the upcoming iPhone 12 could feature an improved FaceID despite a smaller notch. Apparently, Face ID will support a wider angle of view to allow unlocking at more angles.

In terms of the camera department, Apple is improving low-light photography with faster autofocus and improved image stabilization. In addition to that, Smart HDR is being upgraded to reduce noise in dark environments as well. It is also speculated that few of the iPhone 12 models will feature a LiDAR scanner that will improve the accuracy of Portrait Mode photos as well as enhances the autofocus mechanism.

Apart from this, the report also says that the telephoto lens in the iPhone 12 Pro will be upgraded from 2x to 3x,  allowing users to get closer to subjects without resorting to digital zoom. You can take a look at the video attached below for more details.
