StarHub updates 10Gbps broadband home internet plan with a Wi-Fi 7 router at no extra cost
It seems like StarHub is now on the Wi-Fi 7 bandwagon, too.
In an official statement released on 22 February 2024, StarHub said it now offers a TP-Link EB810v Wi-Fi 7 router at no additional cost to customers who sign up for the StarHub 10Gbps UltraSpeed broadband plan.
According to its broadband landing page, the plan is a 24-month arrangement at S$69.95 per month. Besides including the Wi-Fi 7 router, the plan also comes with 24 months of Premier League access, 12 months of Disney+ standard subscription, and 3 months of Amazon Prime.
The TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 router that’s offered is a tri-band router with 6GHz (11,520Mbps), 5GHz (8,640Mbps), and 2.4GHz (1,376Mbps) bands. It’s also compatible with a mesh network setup, and offers a variety of wired ports for different connectivity needs (1x 10GE WAN, 1x 10GE LAN, 3 x 2.5GE LAN).
“In line with Singapore’s vision for technological advancement and innovation, StarHub is committed to harnessing cutting-edge telecommunications technologies to empower individuals, businesses and communities across the country. By accelerating broadband speeds, we aim to support the burgeoning demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive media, ensuring our users remain at the forefront of digital transformation, right at their home,” said Johan Buse, Head of Consumer Business Group, StarHub.
The home internet plan by the green camp was launched around this time last year.
