Spotify Soon To Launched in UAE?

Spotify is a massive music streaming service that is currently available in over 65 countries, and yes, we can assume that they are constantly working to expand its availability across the world. One of the regions that haven’t yet reached by Spotify is UAE.

Previously last May, a lot of people made a lot of speculations about the job listing that has appeared on several job websites including LinkedIn. Those job listings were looking for several roles based in Dubai including, a Senior Editor and a Technical Account Manager.

The job listing says, “We are looking for a broadly experienced Senior Editor to join Spotify’s Shows and Editorial (S&E) team in Dubai. You will identify and curate first-rate music playlist listening- and programming experiences for a multitude of our moods, moments, and genres, demonstrate a passion for performance-oriented analytics, and will have your ear to the ground in the music community, focusing on MENA.”

Just recently, a source close to Spotify said that they are aiming a launch in UAE, no wonder that a lot of people had some speculations in the said job listing. Another one of the hottest leak is the internal email stating that the music streaming service will be live in November, and they are looking for advertising opportunities.

These series of leaks caused the people to ask Spotify about this matter, but is seems that Spotify isn’t going to confirm it at all, “Spotify’s long-term goal is to be available in every country, but we don’t have any news to share on future launches at this time”, Spotify said.

The curiosity has been escalated because of these announcements and leaks, but even though it appears to be true, there was no confirmed official launch date yet, and Spotify did not respond to huge requests for their statement.  All we know as of now is that they are planning to expand their reach across the edges of the world.
