Spotify is now available on Google Assistant in India

Spotify, one of the most popular music streaming service was launched back in India in April 2019. Just after few months of its launch, the company has launched its Spotify Lite app in the country. And now, the company has announced that it is integrating with Google Assistant in India. With this, Spotify users can ask Google Assistant to play music on Spotify.

The company announced this feature will be available for both free and premium customers of Spotify on all supported devices including Google Home smart speakers, Android TV, and Chromecast. In addition, Spotify is also integrating with Google Maps just to ensure that the driver should not manually switch between two apps to navigate and play their favorite tracks.

To get this feature rolling for you, first, install the Google Home application on your smartphone. Once installed. open the app and tap on Settings and then select Accounts and click Spotify. You will be directed to link accounts settings. Select Link Accounts and then Log in to Spotify using your username and password. The account will be linked to the Google Home.

Once the account linking gets successful, you can play your favorite tracks just by saying, “Ok Google, play ‘choice of song name’ from Spotify’. This feature was first launched in India with the PlayStation Music on PS3 and PS4 earlier this month.
