Spotify App For iOS Gets A Major Design Update

Spotify has started to roll out the redesigned app for iOS starting today. The redesigned Spotify app comes with a new icon set that are meant to make it easier to add albums to your playlists, download albums, and quickly shuffle songs.

Since this is a design update for Spotify for iOS, both free as well as premium users will be able to get this update. With the updated apps, users will see a new row in the center of their screen, just above an album’s tracklist. There is also a large green button placed at the mid-left corner to let you shuffle an album’s tracks with one click.

In addition to that, the new Spotify app for iOS brings a redesigned heart icon to “like” an album, or tap the download icon, to download the song to listen to them offline. The heart icon is placed next to the tracks you’ve favorited. It will also show a track’s cover art in all views, except “Album.”

All of these changes are meant to simplify the usage of the music streaming app to make it easier for the users to stream their favorite albums on the app. Spotify didn’t mention when Android users might see the new icons, but if we consider the report from 9to5Google, Spotify is working on a similar update for Android to release it soon in the future.

As for the update for iOS, the company says that they have already started rolling out the update starting today. So, you should check out the App Store to update your Spotify app to reflect the above-mentioned changes in your app.
