The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have been generating speculation about their color options. Various sources have provided conflicting information on the subject. One tipster, known as Unknownz21, recently stated that none of the four color options for the iPhone 15 Pro models will be red. This contradicted other social media posts and a tipster on China’s Weibo platform who accurately predicted the Dark Purple color for the previous iPhone 14 Pro models.
According to the Weibo tipster, the “exclusive” color for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be crimson red. However, Unknownz21 cast doubt on this claim by sharing a rendered image of the iPhone 15 Pro in blue, created in collaboration with MacRumors, and stating that it could be a test configuration rather than an official color option.
Tipster suggests that Blue will be the exclusive color for the iPhone 15 Pro models this year
The tipster speculates that the blue color may join silver, space gray/space black, and titanium gray as the available color options for the iPhone 15 Pro series. As for the non-Pro iPhone 15 models, rumors suggest they may come in bright pink, bright blue, and green.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 lineup in September. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature a Dynamic Island, inherit the A16 Bionic chip from the iPhone 14 Pro models, and boast a 48MP camera sensor for the wide camera. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first and only phones this year to utilize a chipset manufactured using the cutting-edge 3nm process node (A17 Bionic).
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will incorporate a periscope lens technology, allowing for greater optical zoom capabilities compared to its predecessor. With the periscope lens, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can achieve 5x-6x zoom, surpassing the 3x zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This innovation overcomes the physical limitations imposed by the phone’s size.
The price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may increase by $200, with a starting price of $1,299
Both the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a titanium chassis, and all four iPhone 15 phones will have larger batteries compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the iPhone 15 series will replace the proprietary lightning port with a USB-C port at the bottom of the device.
While discussions about the iPhone 15 series have been ongoing, attention will soon turn to the next generation, the iPhone 16. Apple is also preparing to unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 and the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra in 2023. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has mentioned that the next iteration of AirPods is still in early stages of development and may not be released until 2025, so they won’t be sharing the spotlight with the iPhone 15 lineup and new Apple Watch models in September.
