Sony Xperia XA2 Plus Launched with 6.0” display and 23MP Rear Camera: Price, Specifications and more


Sony has launched a new smartphone called Sony Xperia XA2 Plus at an event in London.  The main highlights of the smartphone include a massive 6.0” display and 23MP rear camera with 4K video recording, and support for Hi-Res Audio and Smart Amplifier, making it the first mid-range Sony smartphone to get the feature.

The smartphone will be available to purchase starting from late August 2018. The price of the smartphone has not been announced though. It will be made available in Black, Green, Gold, and Silver colour options

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus Specifications

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and sports a 6.0” Full HD+ (1920 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 display with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. it offers 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus comes with a 23MP rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmos RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Hybrid Auto-Focus and 84° wide-angle lens. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with 1/4″ Exmor R sensor, f/2.4 aperture and 20° super wide-angle lens.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is fuelled by a 3,580 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 3.5 mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 157 x 75 x 9.6 mm and weighs 205 grams.
