Sony Xperia 10 and Sony Xperia 10 Plus with 21:9 Screens announced at MWC 2019

Along with Sony Xperia 1 smartphone, Sony has also announced two new smartphones, Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus at an event held in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. Both of these smartphones comes in Mid-Range segment unlike to that of Sony Xperia 1 which is a premium smartphone by Sony. These smartphones feature 21:9 wide display for the amazing viewing experience. Sony Xperia 10 Plus is the advanced version of the Xperia 10 with better specifications. Sony has also launched another flagship phone called Xperia L3 at MWC 2019.

Sony Xperia 10: Specifications

Sony Xperia 10 features a 6-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2248 pixels) resolution display with 21:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM. In addition, there is a 64 inbuilt storage which can be further extended upto 512GB via a MicroSD card.

Furthermore, Sont Xperia 10 features a dual camera setup at the back. Out of which, there is a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, and another 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera is loaded with all the professional features including bokeh effect, HDR, hybrid autofocus, 5X digital zoom, 4K video recording, 120fps slow-motion movie recording and the most important 21:9 video recording. While at the front, there is a single 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Apart from this, Sony Xperia 10 runs on the latest Android 9 Pie OS. This phone is also rich in connectivity options as it includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The sensors integrated into the Sony Xperia 10 includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, eCompass, hall sensor, magnetometer, step counter, step detector, significant motion detector, and proximity sensor. Also, Sony Xperia 10 packs a 2,870 mAh battery with fast charging support.

Sony Xperia 10 Plus: Specifications

As mentioned earlier, Sony Xperia 10 Plus is the advanced version of Xperia 10. This phone features a larger 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2248 pixels) resolution display with 21:9 aspect ratio. The screen is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. In addition, there is a 64 inbuilt storage which can be further extended upto 512GB via a MicroSD card.

Furthermore, Sony Xperia 10 Plus also sports a dual camera setup at the back out of which one is 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, and another 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Similar to Xperia 10, this phone also has all the professional features including bokeh effect, HDR, hybrid autofocus, 5X digital zoom, 4K video recording, 120fps slow-motion movie recording, and 21:9 video recording. At the front, Xperia 10 Plus sports the same 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

Sony Xperia 10, Xperia 10 Plus: Price and Availability

According to Sony, the Xperia 10 will be available at a price tag of $349.99 and will be available in Black, Navy Blue, Pink, and Silver color variants, while the Xperia 10 Plus will cost $429.99 and will be available in Black, Gold, Navy Blue, and Silver color variants. Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus will be going on sale in the US on March 18.
