After a long haul, Sony has finally added support for the Android devices running Android 5.0 and above for its PS4 Remote Play app. Until now, this functionality was only limited to Xperia and iOS devices.
The PS4 Remote Play app allows you to mirror your PS4 on a smartphone or tablet over WiFi. To enable this feature work for you, update your PS4’s firmware to version 7.00 and set up the Remote Play app on your device of choice. Once you have updated and set up your PS4 with the Remote Play app, you will need to link your PS4 with your phone/tablet over WiFi.
Players will also be able to use the DualShock 4 wireless controller via Bluetooth for Remote Play, but Sony mentions that you would need to be on Android 10 to use the feature. The company also recommends that a PS4 with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended for a reliable Remote Play experience.
