Sony is Giving Away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection to PS4 Owners

Sony is giving away two free games to the PS4 owners that will be available for free for a very limited time. This new move from Sony came as a part of an initiative to encourage people to stay at home.

In this initiative, PlayStation 4 owners can claim a digital copy of Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for free. The giveaway starts from April 15th, at 8 PM ET and will run until May 5th at 8 PM ET. Apart from this, PS4 owners living in Germany and China will be given Journey and Knack 2.

Every month, Sony offers free digital games to PlayStation Plus subscribers, but this time, the company has made these two games available for free for all users, regardless of having an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

With the announcement of these two games, Sony also mentioned that the downloads of this game may take longer than usual. In the previous month, Sony announced it would be working with internet service providers to slow game download speeds to help preserve internet access in the US and Europe due to increased usage during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, a new initiative from Sony also includes a $10 million creative fund to help independent game developers undergoing financial hardships due to the pandemic, said Jim Ryan, president, and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
