That means the suggestions screen can display more television shows, films, online video, podcasts, music and games recommended based on what is popular with Sky customers, live events taking place, and customers’ viewing history on their box.
Sky hopes that by packing more suggestions into the updated view, customers will have to spend less time searching for things to watch.
Along with the redesign, there’s now better voice search which should help you find content more quickly via speech.
That means users can ask for themes and genres, alongside actors.
For example, saying “thrillers with Nicole Kidman” will bring up relevant suggestions of what to watch.
You’ll soon be able to ask for entertainment themes too, such as ‘new shows’, ‘Halloween’ or ‘Christmas’.
