The trailer for Shelter wastes no time in immersing viewers in a thrilling mystery. Mickey’s world is turned upside down when an old woman, known as Bat Lady (Tovah Feldshuh), insists that Mickey’s father is still alive, despite Mickey witnessing his death in a car crash. This revelation leads Mickey to Kasselton, where he forms an instant connection with his classmate Ashley (Samantha Bugliaro). As Ashley unexpectedly vanishes, Mickey becomes consumed with discovering her whereabouts, even against the advice of his Aunt Shira (Constance Zimmer). Thankfully, Mickey finds solace and assistance from his loyal friends, Arthur “Spoon” Spindell (Adrian Greemsmith) and Ema Winslow (Abby Corrigan), as they navigate the complex web of their small-town community. However, their quest for answers only uncovers more questions, as they uncover unsettling connections between Ashley’s disappearance and Mickey’s father, placing all involved in increasing danger.
The adaptation of Shelter brings together the talents of both Harlan Coben and 13 Reasons Why producer Allen MacDonald, who serve as showrunners and executive producers alongside Edward Ornelas and Erik Barmack. Coben’s own daughter, Charlotte Coben, is producing the series. The main cast also features Sage Linder as Rachel Caldwell and Brian Altemus as Troy.
