Season One of Diablo 4 will introduce nerfs to your most powerful builds

Congratulations on finding your favorite Diablo 4 setups! However, it’s unfortunate to hear that Blizzard plans to nerf the strongest builds in an upcoming Diablo 4 update with Season 1. This means you may have to start crafting new builds once again.

We recently witnessed damage numbers in Diablo 4 surpassing its predecessor, D3, thanks to the powerful Diablo 4 Shred Druid build. However, these excessive numbers were unintentional, and Blizzard will address this issue soon.

Additionally, Diablo 4’s game director, Joe Shely, announced nerfs for some of the strongest builds with the release of Season 1. The Season of the Malignant will introduce new mechanics, requiring players to start a new seasonal character. While you may be tempted to use the strong builds you used to complete the campaign, it’s worth reconsidering.

In an article published by Forbes, Shely states, “We have to nerf some things at times; we can’t always buff everything else.” This essentially means that Blizzard cannot increase the damage numbers of other builds or classes to match the devastation caused by builds like the Shred Druid.

While previous patches focused on buffing all classes, it seems that for the Season of the Malignant, you will have to deal with nerfs instead. However, don’t worry! We have still identified the best Druid build and have all the information you need about the Diablo 4 battle pass that launches alongside the first season.
