Samsung is gearing up its arena for Artificial Intelligence by revealing a new AI-powered product in the pipeline called the Neon. This new product is currently in its development phase at Samsung Technology & Advanced Research Labs (STAR Labs), which is an independent entity of Samsung Electronics.

As we already know, Samsung has already its Bixby AI-assistant, which was introduced back in 2017 and is available across a range of products including smartphones and home appliances. And now, Neon will expand the reach of Samsung electronics in the field of Artificial Intelligence. STAR Labs led by India-born Pranav Mistry will unveil Neon at CES 2020 in Las Vegas next month.

While Samsung hasn’t provided any details around Neon, STAR Labs is teasing its arrival through social media channels. The company also registered a domain called the Neon.life. However, it doesn’t have much information except a tagline saying, “Have you ever met an ‘Artificial’?”

In addition to that, some of the recent tweets posted by the official Neon account on Twitter suggest that the new AI offering would provide multilingual experiences and support Hindi among other international languages. You can take a look at some of the tweets below.

Separately, Neon is teased to offer a “human-level AI” experience. As from what information we have until this stage, it is unclear whether it will be available as a digital assistant or something completely different, like an AI-powered robot. Bixby, an existing AI-powered digital assistant from the company has been facing tough competition from Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri.

Whatever the case is, we will get a clearer look over this new AI-driven product at CES 2020 where it will be unveiled by Samsung’s STAR Labs. CES 2020 is scheduled to start on January 7, 2020.
