Samsung reveals the first-ever 1TB eUFS Chips for Phone

Recently, Samsung has made an announcement that soon they will start offering 1TB eUFS (embedded Universal Flash Storage) chips in the upcoming smartphones. They have already started the mass production of these storage chips. This is the first time that any company is manufacturing 1TB Storage chips and is fairly a great innovation by Samsung. So, that day is no longer ahead when we will have a phone with 1TB of Internal Storage.

Samsung has already launched Galaxy Note 9 which has 512GB Internal Storage which can be further expanded up to 1TB. But this time they are going to offer a single chip with 1TB of Storage. Samsung’s memory marketing VP Cheol Choi says that this 1TB eUFS is “expected to play a critical role in bringing more notebook-like user experience to the next generation of mobile devices.”

Samsung also claims that this Storage chip will offer user a “Notebook-like” experience on the next generation smartphones. And also claims that this unit has a read speed of up to 1000 MB per second which is 10 times faster than a Micro-SD card.

Meanwhile, already there are few rumors coming which suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will have 1TB of Flash Memory. So, it will be exciting to look over to its specification which will be disclosed at an Unpack Event in San Francisco.
