Samsung Revealed the Galaxy Z Flip in an Oscars Ad

After tons of rumors and leaks in the past few weeks, Samsung has decided to pull masks off the Galaxy Z Flip itself. Just before a day of Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11th, the company has rolled out an ad for the Galaxy Z Flip during tonight’s Oscars ceremony.

We have already seen the Galaxy Z Flip in some leaked hands-on video. But now, the ad released by Samsung shows the Galaxy Z Flip in action. The Ad clearly shows the secondary display on the back that will flash a caller ID when there’s an incoming call, and you might even be able to answer the call with the phone “closed.” The ad also shows the phone sat on the table at a 90-degree angle for video chats.

In the small print for the ad, there’s a copy that says “You may notice a small crease in the center of the main screen, which is a natural characteristic of the screen.” So that answers that question. As with the Fold, the Z Flip will have a crease. The ad also shows two different colors: purple and black.

As of now, we don’t have any official confirmation on the specs of Galaxy Z Flip. However, if we consider some leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip is likely to carry last year’s Snapdragon 855+ processor and a 3,300 mAh battery and two primary cameras. There’s speculation that it’ll cost almost $1,400 sans contract and might be on sale as early as February 14th.

All-n-all, we will get a clearer picture of Galaxy Z Flip tomorrow at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. At this event, the company is likely to reveal all the three models of Samsung S20 along with this Galaxy Z Flip.
