Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Launched in India With S Pen And DeX Support: Price, Specifications And More

Samsung has launched its latest tablet dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, in India. it was first introduced back in August 2018. It’s a 2-in-1 Android tablet designed for people who want to do more on the go. The main highlights of the tablet include Samsung DeX integration within the Galaxy Tab S4 to offer a desktop-like experience, the all-new S Pen, AKG-tuned speakers and Dolby Atmos sound.

Samsung has brought Samsung DeX to the tablet for the first time. It lets you switch from the Android interface to a desktop experience. You can open multiple desktop-style windows for Android apps, including the Microsoft Office suite. There is also an option to drag and drop content between apps and even use keyboard shortcuts and commands on the optional Book Cover keyboard.

The all-new S Pen  4,096 pressure levels lets you take notes on the fly through the Screen-Off Memo feature, as well as navigate, translate and organize notes through Samsung Notes, and even send personalized texts through Samsung Live Message. The tablet also comes preloaded with several productivity and security apps.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with the price tag of  Rs. 57,900. It will be available to purchase exclusively via Amazon India starting October 20 and Samsung Online Shop as well as leading offline retail stores in the country. It comes in Black and Grey colour options.

As for the launch offer, the company is providing Rs. 5,000 cashback on HDFC Bank credit cards and EMI options on HDFC Bank debit cards. The company is also providing Jio cashback offer of Rs 2,750, which can be redeemed on the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plans. Furthermore, Jio users also get double data benefits on every recharge for the next 4 recharges.

Samsung is also separately selling the Keyboard Book Cover for the Galaxy Tab S4 at Rs. 7,499, while its simple Book Cover can be purchased at Rs. 3,999 and a POGO Charging Dock is available at Rs. 3,499.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 10.5-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) 16:10 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density 287ppi. The tablet is powered by 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM with 64GBof  internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP camera on the front with the same f/1.9 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is fuelled by a 7300mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac along with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS+GONASS, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, hall sensor, RGB, proximity, and an iris scanner. It measures  249.3×164.3×7.1mm.
