Samsung Galaxy Tab A Launched with Kid-Focused Features: Price, Specifications, and more


Alongside Galaxy Tab S4 Samsung has also launched the kid-focused Samsung Galaxy Tab A, in the US. The tablet comes with pre-loaded Mode and eight child-friendly apps and games, including BRIO World Railway and Toca Hair Salon 3. There is also a Multi-User Mode that lets users create a separate account for their kids. The tablet has four speakers built into each corner with support from Dolby Atmos for an immense sound experience.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A comes with the price tag of €329 (US$ 383 / ₹ 26,195 approx.) for the Wi-Fi version and €389 (US$ 453 / ₹ 30,980 approx.) for Wi-Fi plus LTE variant. will be available for purchase starting from August 24 in the US in  Black, Blue, and Grey color options.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 10.5” WUXGA  (1920×1200 pixel) 16:10 TFT LCD display. The tablet is powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is having an 8MP rear camera with LED flash support and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A is fuelled by a 7,300mAh battery. 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac along with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS+GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, RGB, and a hall sensor. It measures 260 x 161.1 x 8.0 mm and weighs 529 grams.
