Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) with Snapdragon 429 SoC Launched in India: Price, Specifications


Samsung has launched its new tablet in India, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). This tablet was launched last month, and now it has arrived in the Indian Market. Key features of the tablet include a Snapdragon 429 SoC, a 5,100mAh battery, 512GB of expandable memory support, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. It comes in two variants – LTE and Wi-Fi + LTE.

The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Tab sports an 8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and with 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Galaxy Tab A is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The storage on this tab can be further expanded up to 512GB via an external MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the Galaxy Tab A sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus support and a 2MP front camera. Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, and USB 2.0. As mentioned above, there is also an LTE variant that supports 4G LTE connectivity in addition to what’s available on the Wi-Fi-only model.

Apart from this,  Galaxy Tab A runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. It is fuelled by a huge 5,100mAh battery. The tab comes with micro USB port for charging and data transfer and a 3.5mm headphone jack too. There is also a dedicated Kids mode that provides content designed specifically for kids to provide a suitable and safe entertainment space and also to proactively manage their content and usage time.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) Wi-Fi is priced in India at Rs. 9,999 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) LTE variant is priced in India at Rs. 11,999. Both the variants come in Black and Grey color options.

The Wi-Fi variant is now listed for pre-orders via Flipkart and Samsung Shop, whereas the LTE variant will be made available across select offline and online channels by the end of August.
