For the last couple of weeks, rumours about Samsung’s next Galaxy S series smartphones have been doing rounds on the internet. Now, a fresh report from Android Police has tipped almost all the specs of the upcoming lineup, leaving little room for imagination.
As per the report that cited multiple sources, Samsung plans to launch three smartphones in the Galaxy S series lineup — Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra which are codenamed O1, T2, and P3, respectively. While the Galaxy S21 is said to offer a plastic rear cover, the S21 Ultra is expected to use glass. Another aspect about the design of the upcoming Galaxy S series smartphones that has been claimed is that the camera bump on the upper left corner will be part of the frame itself and therefore will come in different colours depending on the device.
Here’s a look at the alleged specs of the three upcoming Galaxy S 21 series smartphones:
Rumoured to offer a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy S21 is said to be backed by a 4000mAh battery. On the back, it is likely to house a triple camera setup that includes a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, a 12MP main sensor and a 64MP telephoto sensor. Expected colour options include Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, and Phantom White.
Expected to offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ LTPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy S21 is rumoured to be backed by a 4800mAh battery. On the back, it is likely to house the same camera sensor as the Galaxy S21 with a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, a 12MP main sensor and a 64MP telephoto sensor. Expected colour options include Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet
Galaxy S21 Ultra
The top-end smartphone of the upcoming lineup is rumoured to offer a 6.8-inch WQHD+ LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to be backed by a 5000mAh battery and on the back, likely to house a quad-camera setup that includes a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, a 108MP main sensor and two optical telephoto sensors. Expected colour options include Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.
