Samsung was officially launched the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone earlier this month in India at Rs. 67900 and get great response from consumers. Now Galaxy Note 8 won the ‘Gadget of the Year’ award at the India Mobile Congress 2017. This means Note 8 become the most popular flagship smartphone of the year.

To recall, the main highlights of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is dual rare camera setup, Infinity Display, and IP68-certification for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding immersion in up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. Also it comes with S Pen stylus which the major highlight of ‘Note series’ since launched first. The device features same a 6.3” QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display with 521ppi pixel density and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Talking about specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and powered by up to 2.3GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC. It offers 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
One of the main highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dual rare camera setup which comes with dual OIS (optical image stabilisation), the setup include a 12MP wide-angle lense along with dual Pixel AF, and an f/1.7 aperture, and another 12MP telephoto lense with an f/2.4 aperture. The setup is capable to deliver depth of field effects like Bokeh with real-time and after the fact focus adjustment and 2X optical zoom. On the front, it sports an 8MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and auto-focus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is fueled by a 3300mAh battery with wireless charging, supporting the WPC and PMA Fast Charging standards compatible with Quick Charge 2.0. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and MST. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, iris sensor, and proximity sensor. Biometrics includes fingerprint scanner, facial recognition, and an iris scanner. The device measures 162.5×74.8×8.6mm and weighs 195 grams.
