samsung galaxy m31s: Samsung Galaxy M31s updated to One UI 2.5: Here’s what’s new


Samsung has reportedly rolled out One UI 2.5 software update to the Galaxy M31s users in India. The firmware comes with the November Android security patch with a host of new features like privacy-focused Alt Z Life feature, landscape mode support on Samsung Keyboard and more.
The software version carries build number M317FXXU2BTK1 and is 748MB in size. As per the official changelog, the update brings Always On Display support for Bitmoji stickers. It also comes with improved performance like Pro video, AR Emoji, AR Doodle, Scene optimizer, SmartScan features.
It also adds a new feature to the Galaxy M31s device which allows users to call a person who is saved as a pre-configured SOS message contact. Another feature added to the device will allow users to send SOS location-sharing messages every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
The firmware also brings Quick Switch feature that will enable users to switch between private and public modes of any app like WhatsApp, Gallery, Camera etc. with a quick double click on the side key of the phone. Additionally, users can keep private content safe in a secure folder without anyone knowing about its existence. The update also brings device stability improvements with minor bug fixes.
The handset is powered by Exynos 9611 octa-core processor. The phone offers a quad lens camera at the back comprising 64MP (F1.8) main camera, 12MP (F2.2) ultra wide camera , 5MP (F2.4) depth camera and a 5MP (F2.4) macro camera.
