Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Starts Receiving Android Nougat Update in India


In the era of Android Oreo, Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Starts getting Android Nougat Update. The smartphone was launched in April last year in India with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Samsung finally starts pushing Nougat update on the device.

The update is 1526 MB in size and will push out incrementally via OTA (over the air) so it may take some time before it comes to your device. You can check manually by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. We advise you to charge your phone at least 50% before updating your device.

Android Nougat brings in a bunch of features including split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications, and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which come in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and sports a 5.7 full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by aa 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro sports a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has another 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is fueled by a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor and RGB light sensor. The device also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button. It measures 156.5 x 77.2 x 7.0 mm and weighs 172 grams.
