Samsung Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80 with Slider Design, and 48MP Rotating Camera Launched: Details here
Samsung is working on to expand its A-Series smartphones and in the same vision, Samsung launched its two new smartphones from A-Series. Samsung launched Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70 at an event held today at Thailand. Although of these smartphones are the company’s latest flagship phones, however, the most premium one is the Samsung Galaxy A80 which features a futuristic design. Let’s take a closer look at both of them one-by-one.
Samsung Galaxy A80 Specifications and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A80 features a huge 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display without any notch. Samsung has shown its best creativity in the design of Galaxy A80. This phone features a slider design just like Oppo Find X, however, to make it more different from others, Samsung has combined a rotating camera module which rotates simultaneously when the slider works.
Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by the newly launched octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six others clocked at 1.7 GHz which is coupled with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, Galaxy A80 comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage and don’t have any expandable memory support.
In the camera department, Samsung Galaxy A80 features triple rear rotating camera setup which includes a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture along with an 8MP 123-degree ultrawide lens and a ToF depth sensor. This whole module is 180-degrees rotatable which rotates along with the slider to act as a selfie camera. This whole process takes a frame of seconds. As soon as the selfie camera shuts, everything returns back to its normal position.
Apart from this, Samsung Galaxy A80 is fuelled by a 3,700mAh battery with 25W FastCharging support. Additionally, it features an in-display fingerprint scanner. As for the availability, Samsung Galaxy A80 will be released on May 29 and will be available in Black, Gold and White color options.
Samsung Galaxy A70 Specifications and Availability
Samsung Galaxy A70 sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a waterdrop notch at the front. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC which is coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Additionally, this phone comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB via a MicroSD card.
In the camera department, Samsung Galaxy A70 features a triple rear camera setup which includes 32MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture along with an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it sports a 32MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video chats.
Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A70 runs on the latest Android 9 Pie and is fuelled by 4,500mAh battery with 25W Super FastCharging support. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor along with a face unlock mechanism. As for the availability of this phone, the Galaxy A70 will be released on April 26, with four colors to choose from – black, blue, white and pink.
