The South Korean giant, Samsung has officially begun the mass production of its brand-new memory storage Chip i.e. the new Samsung 512GB eUFS 3.0. The company has just announced its new and super-faster 512GB eUFS 3.0.
Samsung’s latest flagship phones, the new Galaxy S10 announced with 128GB of Memory Storage Capacity. So yes, the current generation Galaxy S devices will not feature this memory chip. The company has started the mass-production of this Chip for their next-generation Samsung devices.
In a press release, the company has officially announced this Chip. They claim that it is the world’s first 512GB eUFS 3.0. The new Chips from Samsung comes with a lot of promises to the consumers and it has already made everyone amazed. According to Samsung, the new Chips are twice as fast as the existing Storage chips. We will see the results when they are actually made available in the next-generation smartphones.
At presently, the Chips which are working on the Samsung devices are UFS 2.1, while the new generation chips will be eUFS 3.0. The company has also said that the new eUFS 3.0 will be four times faster than the SATA and 20 times faster than the traditional microSD card.
If we compare the speed of this newly announced chip, a user can transfer a full-HD movie from one device to another device in just 3 seconds. When it comes to performance, it will offer super faster performance.
On the other hand, the random read speed of this chip is 63,000 IOPS and the write speed of this chip is 68,000 IOPS. This is 36 percent increased compared to the existing eUFS2.1.
Sources are also claiming that the new eUFS3.0 will come with exceptional performance for the people who used to use multiple applications at the same time on their devices. It will be able to handle multiple applications simultaneously which will offer more productivity at the user’s end.
The company has just begun the mass production of their new Chips i.e. 512GB eUFS 3.0 and 128GB eUFS 3.0. The company will also start the production of their new 1TB eUFS 3.0 and 256GB eUFS 3.0 in the coming months i.e. in the second half of this current year. The officials will soon come up with more statements regarding this production and what devices will support these new memory chips.
