Invincible comics co-creator Ryan Ottley provided an insightful video introduction to “a charming individual named Angstrom” before the highly anticipated second season of the series.
While waiting for Amazon’s animated adaptation of Invincible, starring Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons, there’s plenty of time to delve into the upcoming second season. Invincible comic co-creator Ryan Ottley shared an enticing artistic teaser for the next season on social media, introducing us to the character Angstrom Levy, voiced by Sterling K. Brown, who will serve as a major antagonist.
“Some large or small aspect of Season 2 focuses on the Angstrom Levy character. He’ll be a new villain that comes into the series. And if you’ve read the comics, you’re aware of who he is and what his deal is. He’s a villain that has access to multiple dimensions, and so it’s another one of those dang multiverse things,” Kirkman shared in an interview from back in April 2023. However, Kirkman emphasized that the animated series will take its own unique approach to the source material, promising a fresh and distinctive experience for fans.

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible follows the story of 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who faces the challenges of being the son of the most powerful superhero on Earth. Season 2 focuses on Mark’s journey to rebuild his life and confront new threats, while also battling his own internal conflict of possibly inheriting his father’s dark legacy.
