During an interview with D23, Dawson hinted that there will be plenty of spine-tingling moments, but in a way that only a Disney film can provide.
“I believe it’s incredibly intelligent and clever. It will definitely have its scary parts… The project has received so much attention and care because it is such a beloved property. You can just sense it. There’s something about it that feels warm, fun, and creepy all at once – in a good way! It delivers those delightful spooky goosebumps.”
It seems that Haunted Mansion won’t terrify audiences like a full-blown horror film, but that doesn’t mean it won’t leave a lasting impact. With its exceptional production design and mind-bending visuals, there will be plenty to adore and even fear in a unique way about this incarnation of the Haunted Mansion.
