ROG phone 3 software update: ROG Phone 3 FOTA update brings Bypass Charging and several bug fixes


After releasing a recent software update that brought several bug fixes to ROG Phone 3, Asus has now released another software update. The latest update brings a new feature called Bypass charging to the smartphone along with improved video playback and several bug fixes.
Bypass charging feature allows players to power the smartphone without actually charging the battery. This will not only increase the lifespan of the ROG Phone 3 battery, but also reduce the heating while gaming or doing heavy tasks.
The Bypass charging feature is a part of the entire battery trick the ROG Phone 3 comes with and it can be activated using the Game Genie gaming toolbar while playing games. The feature is especially helpful for those who spend long hours gaming and keep their smartphone on charge during the entire session.
In addition to Bypass Charging and video improvements, the update also addresses common bugs such as irregular brightness issues, video quality, and more.
ROG Phone 3 is the latest gaming smartphone from the company which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The ROG Phone 3 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED HDR10+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and 391ppi density. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz with 270Hz touch sampling rate and 25ms touch latency.
