Reportedly, Samsung has encountered a setback in releasing the eagerly awaited “Super Update” for the Galaxy S23 series, leading to delays.

There has been an update on the highly-anticipated “Super Update” for the Samsung Galaxy S23 line. Unfortunately, it has been put on hold after its release in Europe due to reported bugs by some users. Ice Universe, a reliable Twitter tipster, shared this information. The revised version of the June update, which is expected to be a substantial update weighing over 2.2GB, has now appeared on Samsung’s servers.
For those who have already received the buggy update, they may receive the new build separately or as part of the July update. This update aims to improve the performance and battery life of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as well as update the security patch to the latest version from June 2023. Additionally, it is expected to fix existing bugs in the Galaxy S23 series and provide new enhancements for the phone’s cameras, including a 2x portrait mode for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is already recognized as having one of the best photography systems on a smartphone this year.

Tipster Ice Universe spreads the unfortunate news about the delay of the Galaxy S23 line’s Super Update

We understand that many Galaxy S23 owners, particularly those with the Ultra model, are eagerly awaiting this update. Considering that the device has already proven to be a strong competitor to the iPhone 14 Pro Max in some tests, it’s difficult to envision how Samsung could further enhance its battery life. Our tests revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra ranked second, with a browsing endurance of 18 hours and 57 minutes, just behind the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 19 hours and 5 minutes.

When the Super Update was released in Europe, it was found to be too buggy for release in other regions

Perhaps the update will result in improved battery performance for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, enabling longer video streaming sessions. In our battery test, the iPhone 14 Pro Max emerged as the clear leader in this category, lasting for 11 hours, followed by the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 10 hours and 23 minutes. Surprisingly, the Galaxy S23 Ultra ranked fourth, with a duration of 8 hours and 54 minutes, falling behind the Pixel 7 Pro’s 9 hours and 39 minutes.

We advise Galaxy S23 series users to stay alert for the update, as it could arrive soon or take a few weeks to roll out.
