Reportedly, a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is in development

Ubisoft continues to embrace the life of a pirate as reports suggest that the company is working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. This exciting project is still in the early stages of development and won’t be ready for a few years. Ubisoft Singapore is heavily involved in ensuring that the game meets modern standards.

Unfortunately, not many details are available about the upcoming remake. It remains uncertain if Ubisoft will draw inspiration from recent titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to incorporate more RPG elements. It’s interesting to note that this isn’t the only pirate game Ubisoft is working on. Skull and Bones has been in the works since 2013 but has faced multiple delays. The game is now set to release in the 2024 fiscal year. Ubisoft has also announced a closed beta for Skull and Bones, planned to run from August 25 to 28.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag originally released in 2013 across various platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Wii U, and later on Switch and Google Stadia. As its name implies, the game allows players to assume the role of a pirate turned assassin, making it a beloved installment within the Assassin’s Creed community.
