Regrettably, Sigourney Weaver will not be reprising her iconic role as Ripley in the latest installment. Weaver has recently confirmed that her time in space is over, declaring, “that ship has sailed. I’m very happy doing what I’m doing. I put in my time in space!”
The upcoming Alien film marks the first entry in the franchise after a series of disappointing prequels from director Ridley Scott.
