Xiaomi has released the fresh date for the sale of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India. The phone was launched back in March along with Redmi Note 9 Pro. Out of these two phones, the Redmi Note 9 Pro went on its sale on the same month, however, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max got delayed due to the nationwide lockdown in India.
Since the government has allowed smartphone makers and other tech companies to work with limited manpower, the company has now rescheduled the launch of RN9 Pro Max. In addition to this, the company has also revised the price of the phone due to the recent increase in the GST rate from 12 percent to 18 percent.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Revised Price, Sale Date in India
Xiaomi has announced today that the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will be going on its first sale on May 12 via Mi.com and Amazon.in. The sale will begin at 12 PM IST.
As for the price, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price in India was last month revised to Rs. 16,499 for the 6GB + 64GB storage variant (earlier Rs. 14,999), whereas its 6GB + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 17,999 (earlier Rs. 16,999) and the 8GB + 128GB storage option carries a price tag of Rs. 19,999 (earlier Rs. 18,999). It will be available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black color options.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Specifications and Features
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is protected by a triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that is available at the back and front.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC which is coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Similar to the base variant, RN9 Pro Max also carries with up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage that can be expanded up to 512GB of microSD card.
In the camera department, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max carries a quad-rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle 119-degree field-of-view FoV) lens, 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. There is also support for RAW photography. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with AI-powered features.
Apart from this, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max runs on the same Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR), NavIC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is fuelled by a massive 5,020mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
