Redmi K30 Will Have 120Hz Display And Qualcomm Snapdragon 730/G Processor, Leaked Images Suggest


A few months ago, Xiaomi entered into the world of flagship phones with Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. Both of these phones got a massive appreciation in the market as they are one of the cheapest flagship phones. And now, XIaomi is gearing up to launch the successor of the K20 series. 

Earlier before, the Redmi K30 was confirmed to be Redmi’s first 5G smartphone, and the official teaser accompanying this announcement confirmed that it will come with dual punch-hole front cameras. And now, a live image of Redmi K30 surfaced online revealing some more details about the phone. 

According to the live image, Redmi K30 is confirmed to come with a 120Hz high refresh rate display. Earlier before, we have heard a rumor that n upcoming Xiaomi smartphone — likely the Redmi K30 –will come with a 120Hz high refresh rate display as well as Sony’s new IMX686 image sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Now after going through this image, some of those rumors are getting confirmed.

First up, we have an image of the About Phone section within MIUI 11, which mentions the device name to be Redmi K30. The device pictured lines up with the official teaser image of the Redmi K30.

The next image shows off the landing page of AIDA64, which confirms the display’s 120Hz refresh rate capabilities, and goes on to mention the Adreno 618 GPU. The Adreno 618 is found on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G SoC, which essentially confirms that at least one variant in the Redmi K30 series will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730/G and that this variant will retain the 120Hz refresh rate display.

As of now, we only have heard about the Redmi K30 and still left to know more details on it. Also, we can expect to have a K30 Pro variant similar to that of K20 and K20 Pro. Still, we can expect to hear more on Redmi K30 in the coming days.
