Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has finally launched its latest smartphones Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. After months of speculation, leaks, and official teasers, Redmi on Tuesday unveiled the new Redmi flagship smartphones at a press event in Beijing. Redmi has been known to offer great smartphones at a great price. However, with Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, the company is targetting those audiences who are ready to spend slightly more than the normal Redmi phones. Both of these phones are the first from Xiaomi to have a pop-selfie camera.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Specifications
The all-new Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.9 percent screen to body ratio. It also comes with hardware DC dimming support, and in-display fingerprint sensor. This phone comes with a stunning gradient finish at the back panel with a 3D four-curved large arc body.
Under the hood, Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with one core clocked at 2.85GHz, three cores at 2.42GHz, and four at 1.8GHz, coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. It comes in three variants – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants.
In the camera department, Redmi K20 comes with AI-powered triple rear camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter with Sony IMX586 sensor and an f/1.75 lens, a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.4 lens. While on the front, there is a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera onboard.
Apart from this, the Redmi K20 comes with good connectivity options as it includes dual ready 4G SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Also, this smartphone is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 Specifications
The Redmi K20 comes almost the same design and specifications as Redmi K20 Pro, except the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, just 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of onboard storage, and 18W fast charging support.
Xiaomi Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro Price and Availability
According to the company, the new Redmi K20 Pro will carry a price tag started at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs. 25,200) in China for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants will retail at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs. 26,200), CNY 2,799 (approx Rs. 28,200), and CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 30,200) respectively.
While the Redmi K20 will go for CNY 1,999 (approx Rs. 20,200) for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB variant of the phone will be priced at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs. 21,200).
The Redmi K20 Pro will be available in three colors – Glacier Blue, Flame Red, Carbon Fiber Black. While the Redmi K20 will be sold in just two colors- Glacier Blue and Flame Red.
As for the availability, Redmi K20 Pro will go on its first sale on June 1 in China, whereas the Redmi K20 will be available for the first time on June 6.
